Analysis: How Will Nasrallah Explain ‘Inaction’?
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah always claimed that the mere existence of his group, fighters, and weapons in Lebanon is to force Israel out of the occupied Lebanese and Palestinian territories. Hezbollah’s inaction after the HAMAS attack raised multiple question marks from political foes and allies alike. What narrative will Nasrallah use in the coming days to deflect such notion and how will he again attempt to pivot away from a world that paints his group as an Iranian-backed militia that uses the Palestinian-Israeli conflict as a pretext to exist while all along serving as one of Iran’s wings aiming at keeping a Shiite-Sunni balance in the region and to tip the scale in countries where Saudi’s have the most influence; namely, Lebanon.
